Stoneacre Offers Free Driving School Initiative
14/08/2013
A Scunthorpe-based franchise dealer group, that calls itself Stoneacre, has launched an ambitious plan to get private buyers to purchase vehicles from them. Stoneacre, has decided to give a free driving school service. The service will be rendered to anyone that purchases a vehicle from one of their multi dealerships.
The programme, which is presently, within its piloted stages, is open to any drivers that is over the age of seventeen. Drivers will be given lessons, utilizing Fiat 500 model vehicles. The group operates throughout the northern section of England. They have hired two qualified instructors, who will cover the Peterborough and Doncaster areas. They have plans to introduce coverage, on a nationwide basis, to all of their other dealerships, in the near future.
Shaun Foweather, who is the managing director for Stoneacre, states that the driving school initiative, is focused on helping motorists get behind the wheel. It takes away the financial commitments that individuals have to make, when it comes to learning how to properly operate a motor vehicle. With less financial strain being put on learning how to drive, more people, will be able to purchase reliable vehicles that they can feel comfortable using.
The initiative to offer the driving school, was prompted when Stoneacre began recruiting a number of apprentices to come work for them. A large quantity of apprentices that were recruited, had not passed their driving tests. Due to this fact, there were a lot of logistical issues that the company had to work out. When faced with this dilemma, Foweather decided to take matters into his own hands.
He decided to cover the costs that were associated with teaching his new apprentices to drive. He recognised by covering the costs of driving lessons for his apprentices, that this could open up potential for his business, when it came to his customers as well. When an individual knows how to drive, they are more likely to want to purchase a vehicle that they can use. Therefore, it is a win-win situation, for all parties.
Students that enroll into the driving lessons offered by Stoneacre, will be able to schedule their lessons around their own schedules. Once they have successfully passed the driving school, they will be given additional driving seminars that will focus on teaching the drivers a few pointers about safety, skill, and awareness. These are three things that every veteran driver knows, but newer drivers are oblivious of.
Foweather stated in an interview that as far as he knows, Stoneacre is the first motor industry to offer free driving lessons. The initial trial run of these lessons has had a lot of success. The demand for free driving lessons is actually exceeding the expectations that Foweather had for the marketing scheme, when he decided to give it a shot. He believes that more and more people, will decide to utilize the free lessons that Stoneacre offers, as time passes on. The more lessons offered, the more vehicles, the multi-dealership industry will be able to sell.
